The MikroTik RB-GPER (Gigabit Passive Ethernet Repeater) is a core component of MikroTik's GPEN (Gigabit Passive Ethernet Network) lineup, designed to overcome standard Ethernet distance limitations. This innovative repeater allows you to extend an Ethernet cable segment by up to $150\text{ m}$ when connecting directly to network endpoints, and up to $210\text{ m}$ when linking to a downstream GPeR unit.While the initial cable run from your power source to the first GPeR must adhere to the standard $100\text{ m}$ limit, subsequent segments can reach up to $210\text{ m}$ per hop. By daisy-chaining multiple GPeR devices in series, you can securely extend your high-speed network and PoE delivery up to a total distance of $1.5\text{ km}$.PoE Passthrough Note: If your destination device does not support PoE, the power passthrough can be disabled manually by removing both internal jumpers on the "PoE out" side. Please note that this jumper override requires the "PoE in" port to be supplied by a Passive PoE source, as active $802.3\text{af/at}$ switches will not power the GPeR under this configuration.
